Perugia
Umbria, Hilltop and Walls
_______________________________________________________________________

Umbria
The Church of Sant’Ercolano stands tall along the eastern wall, its bells chiming serenely. Beyond the city, stretches the rolling hills of Umbria for as far as the eye can see. Olive groves and vineyards carpet the slopes, while the distant peaks of the Apennines bathed in the warm light of the rising sun adds a touch of majesty.
Hilltop
Rolling hills covered in vineyards and olive groves stretch out towards the horizon, punctuated by the occasional farmhouse or villa. The city of Perugia itself rises from the valley floor, its terracotta roofs and honey-colored stone walls gleaming in the afternoon sun. Church towers and palaces rise from the dense urban fabric below, creating a picturesque skyline. The sounds of the city drift up from below – the murmur of voices, the clatter of cars, the distant chiming of bells.
Walls
The bell tower of Saint Maria Nuova rises above the city walls. The tower is slender and elegant, its pale stone glowing in the golden light as the city sprawls out like a map around it. The bells in the tower chime gently, their sound echoing through the city streets. Narrow lanes wind their way between ancient buildings, and squares filled with people come alive with the buzz of conversation. In the distance, the rolling hills of Umbria stretch out towards the horizon.
